Workshop Road to Success in the UDG Entrepreneurial Nest
As part of the Eviva project, the third workshop in the Entrepreneurial Nest was held on December 10th. The workshop was led by dr Marija Orlandić and the topic was "Road to Success". In an interactive conversation with students, she tried to explain the concept of entrepreneurship with a series of practical examples, but also to make students ask themselves whether they are also entrepreneurs? dr Orlandić pointed out that an entrepreneur is a dreamer who sees life as it should or could be, not as it is.

Entrepreneurship is considered not to be an occupation, or a mere opening of a company, nor a technique, i.e., making a business plan. Using the examples of successful people, she showed that entrepreneurship is much more than that. Entrepreneurship is a way of thinking, a view of life, an understanding of the world, a thought reflector that illuminates our path and the direction in which we should move in, she pointed out. "Entrepreneurship is energy, the energy of the individual, but also the energy of society as a whole." Her message to the students was that entrepreneurship is the power of the heart, that emotion that drives our mind, that everything comes first from the heart and only then from the brain. She tried to explain what adorns an entrepreneur, and above all to point out that entrepreneurs are people who recognize opportunities and use them. This is especially important because in order to take advantage of opportunities, we need to understand and comprehend the context of the times in which we live today. The informatics era in which we live requires a different approach to solving everyday problems compared to the industrial one, the COVID-19 pandemic is the best indicator of this. Globalization requires networking, and networking requires entrepreneurship, i.e., looking for new ideas, new creative power. At the end of her presentation, dr Orlandić told the students that they should improve their abilities, by working on themselves every day and to try to awaken the entrepreneur in themselves.
